|
Insured parcels should attract insurance charge, however, the insurance policy on
parcel is at the moment being worked out between NIPOST Management and an Insurance
Company. The outcome shall be communicated for implementation soonest |

HOW TO SEND A PARCEL |

A parcel is accepted on the Post office Counter where the content is assessed and
weighed in order to determine the appropriate tariff. There-after, payment is made
and receipt issued to the customer over the counter. |

|
WHAT IS PROHIBITED IN A PARCEL |
|
|
|
|
|
|
- International Travelling Passports |
|
|
- Currency Notes, Bank instruments, Traveller's Cheque and other Negotiable
Securities (Bonds and Stocks). |
|
|
- Radio-active materials |
|
|
- Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, Jewellery etc. |
|
|
- Live Animals |
|
|
- Explosives, inflammable or other dangerous substances. |
|
|
- Obscene and immoral articles |
|
|
- Liquid substances that may split/soil (if not properly wrapped, sealed
and packaged) or damage other items or expose officials to danger. |
|
|
- Documents, Merchandise etc whose weight is below lkg or above 50kg. |

Our target clientele cuts across all classes of customers. These include Individuals,
Corporate Organisations, Private Concerns, Conglomerates, ManufacturingfTrading
Industries etc. |

MODE OF TRANSPORTATION (CONVEYANCE) |

Our parcel conveyance is designed in such a way that it covers the commonest means
of transportation viz Road, Air and Sea. All the same, it has been structured to
meet our stipulated delivery target of 72 hours maximum. |
