The Courier Regulatory Department is a specialised arm of the Nigerian Postal Service
saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a sustainable development of the courier
industry. |

|
|
|
|
|
Our core areas of activity are: |

|
|

Registration / Licensing of Courier Operators. |
|
|
|
Setting standards and regulations for the practice of courier business in Nigeria. |
|
|
|
Monitoring of courier operations to ensure maintenance of ethical requirements and
standard. |
|
|
|
Monitoring the business environment in search of illegal operators or quacks, and
clampdown of such. |
|
|
|
Handling of complaints from courier operators or from the public on ethical matters. |
|
|
|
Liaising with other relevant agencies like the Aviation Handling Companies, the
Customs, the Police, etc to ensure that an enabling environment is provided for
courier business. |

|
Human Capital formation for the industry via curriculum development and training
of operators. |
